Abstract

Wavelength- and time-resolved magneto-optical Kerr measurements on CrO2 and LSMO show a strong dependence on transient optical parameters leading to a not obvious interpretation of MOKE data. Comparing the complex Kerr angle and the transient reflectivity allows us to reveal the true spin dynamics in strong correlated ferromagnetic oxides.
