Abstract

This article presents part of a doctoral thesis. This research reflects on the potential of the use of Assistive Technologies (AT) in Mathematics teaching, within the Educational Assistance Specialized in a school for students with visual impairment. Laws and Guidelines for the implementation of Resource Rooms, as well as the Assistive Technologies available that assist in the pedagogical practice of teachers in teaching mathematical concepts are rescued. Considering results, the use of AT in the process of learning mathematical concepts of students with visual impairment is crucial to the (re)construction of their knowledge.
