Abstract

Many multi-agent applications based on mobile agents require message passing among group of agents. Although much work have been done on the issue of reliable point to point communication for mobile agent, but how to implement a group communication system for mobile agents still remains an open issue. We propose a novel mobile agent group communication mechanism DTRTGCM in this paper, by use double toke-ring and the dynamic commission of the nearby communication support point RS and CC, the communication efficiency is considerably enhanced, messages can be multicasted more quickly and the register cost of mobile agent is greatly decreased, DTRTGCM also supports the atomic and totally ordered message delivery. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2009.
