Panel Summary: Computation

Abstract

The past decade has seen remarkable developments in our under-standing of transition to turbulence. Much of this progress has been due to a synergistic combination of novel theory with large-scale numerical computation. In this brief overview, I would like to present some of the remaining challenges to our understanding of transition and suggest some ideas for overcoming these hurdles.
