Abstract

Implicit numerical method is presented for simulating differential and algebraic relations governing one-dimensional three- phase flow in porous media; method is used to simulate single-phase, two hydrocarbon-component gas displacement laboratory experiment; method is also applied in sumulating solution gas drive and gas injection problem using reservoir oil represented as nine-component mixture; for comparative purposes, latter two problems also are examined with one-dimensional volumetric model.
