This paper presents the work of several freshmen and sophomore undergraduate students from California State University, Fullerton, who have been exposed to data science for the first time, over 5 weeks. The projects completed by the students are on linear regression and data clustering applied to various datasets available on the Internet. The students were able to search and choose their projects and datasets and complete the project in 5 weeks in May–June 2019.
