Abstract

The author offers a commentary and a reflection on the third chapter of Evangelii gaudium, and links it to the third chapter of Lumen fidei. He annalyzes the mutual dependence between the proclamation of the Gospel and the transmission of faith. The Church as a unique subject of memory is the space where proclamation and transmission meet. The Church carries out that mission through missionary discipleship in the catechesis, popular piety and personal accompaniment.
