Abstract

Borers have been the most damaging and dif- ficult to control group of insect pests attacking shade trees and shrubs. But now after more than 5 years of experimenting with synthetic sex at- tractants, pheromone traps have been developed to revolutionize control of one important group of borers, the clearwing moths.
