Abstract

The adaptations that higher education had to incorporate because of the COVID-19 pandemic revealed several weaknesses and vulnerabilities present in the teaching-learning process; likewise, the student's difficulties in successfully carrying out their professional training were made evident. Much research, even before this public health emergency, has shown gaps in education regarding gender, with women often facing the greatest impediments regarding access and opportunities. Therefore, the objective of this research is to determine if there are differences between the learning conditions in times of pandemic, according to the gender of the students at the Universidad Técnica del Norte (Ecuador). The study is quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational study; the universe is 11374; the probabilistic sample is 2,895 students; the instrument used showed a reliability level of 0.8 (Cronbach's Alpha).
