Pulmonary tuberculosis is a direct infectious disease caused by TB (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) bacteria. The success of pulmonary TB treatment is strongly influenced by compliance in treatment and the problem of compliance with pulmonary TB patients is much influenced by factors.The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of knowledge and attitudes with adherence of patients taking anti- tuberculosis drugs at the Teladan Health Center in Medan. This type of research is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional study design with a population of patients with tuberculosis recorded in 2019 in the Teladan Health Center Medan as many as 35 people and the sample in this study is the total population of 35 respondents. Data collection methods consist of primary data and secondary data. The data that has been collected is then processed and analyzed using the chi square test. The results showed: There was a relationship of knowledge with adherence to taking anti-tuberculosis drugs, There was a relationship between attitude and adherence to taking anti-tuberculosis drugs. From the results of the research that has been obtained, it is suggested that patients with pulmonary TB to comply with all the recommendations of health workers, including consuming anti-tuberculosis drugs so that people with pulmonary TB can recover from their illness. Patience is also an important thing to have in order to be able to comply with drugs given by health workers and the head of the health center can carry out health promotion activities for patients by giving brochures that say pulmonary TB sufferers must take anti-tuberculosis drugs without breaking up so that it can affect the patient's psychology to comply with it.
