Abstract

“Is my mom doing okay right now?” Answering this question at a glance and in an unobtrusive way could relieve stress for informal caregivers. This was the primary goal of the RelaxedCare project. Involving end-users in the development process of research projects in this domain is perceived as a “must”, but the extent to which this is actually done varies greatly. This paper describes how applying the “User Inspired Innovation Process” which involved more than 200 end-users throughout the development process has influenced the functions, design and context of use of the final prototype.
