Abstract

For ultra-low permeability reservoirs, the natural energy is low, and the formation pressure drops rapidly during the production process. After the formation pressure drops, the seepage capacity of the reservoir drops rapidly, resulting in a rapid decline in production [1]. In block S, water flooding was put into development in 2005, and the initial output was high. Due to the ineffectiveness of water injection, the output decreased rapidly. In 2015, it was converted to carbon dioxide flooding as a whole. Under low permeability conditions, the development effect of gas injection is generally better than that of water injection [2]. However, due to the heterogeneity of the reservoir, gas channeling is easy to occur during gas injection, way and parameter settings to optimize. This paper starts from the design of injection well pattern, optimization of injection parameters, and injection adjustment to analyze the effect of carbon dioxide flooding in block S.
