Abstract

Corona virus is a large family of viruses that can cause illness ranging from common coldto fatal diseases like Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute RespiratorySyndrome (SARS). The 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a new strain of coronavirus, firstidentified during an investigation into an outbreak in Wuhan, China. Corona viruses are zoonotic,means they are transmitted between animals and people. Common signs of infection includerespiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties and in severecases, infection can result in pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure andeven death.
