Abstract

A Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is a group of computer programs, computers and networking infrastructure used to collect, report and archive laboratory sample data. ETS Analytical Services, Inc., a full service environmental contract laboratory, has written a laboratory information management system (LIMS) in-house. A case study of this LIMS system is given herein, covering functions from sample receipt to reporting and invoicing.
