Abstract

• There is an increasing need among policymakers, practitioners, and researchers involved in the study and application of the human- animal bond to share and produce knowledge with each other to achieve their respective goals. • Challenges posed by interdisciplinary and intercultural communication inhibit knowledge exchange and joint knowledge production efforts among these groups. • Knowledge management systems, such as HABRI Central, can facilitate interdisciplinary knowledge exchange by providing a framework to overcome many of the obstacles associated with interdisciplinary and intercultural communication.
