World Education faces an unprecedented great challenge in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is estimated that more than 1.5 billion students have already been affected, representing more than 91% of the total enrolled students, with 191 countries with their schools and colleges closed. In this sense, this research aims to describe the challenges of remote classes in a public elementary school during the pandemic of Covid-19, in the municipality of Feira Grande-AL. For this, it was necessary to interview a school management representative and another one who experiences the classroom, whose information obtained shows that there is an agreement of challenges faced in this study environment with that of other places that present similar realities. Among these challenges, the lack of engagement, participation and motivation of students towards remote classes stands out, where the difficulty of accessing the internet and the lack of a good technological device was highlighted. However, it is important to note that the school develops strategies, whose aim is to minimize the maximum impact on students' school performance.
