Abstract

The next ten years will see dramatic changes in the future of education. The concept of the classroom will be adaptable to different learning environments and content. Inside the classroom of the future, you will have a blend of real and virtual instructors, and your classmates next to you may be physically located in different parts of the world. Your classroom environment can be instantly transformed from a traditional class to external learning environments such as museums, zoos, laboratories, or any place in the world. © 1963-2012 IEEE.
