Abstract

My name is Michael Alzamora. I am 52 years old and have been living with schizophrenia for 29 years. A major component of social integration is the intervention of antipsychotic medications, along with financial stability. In addition to the various medications that I take, the ability to pay for housing and to eat healthy is crucial. Social integration is an ongoing commitment, because an integral part of achieving a state of well-being involves an ongoing partnership between diet and exercise.
