Abstract

The atrio-ventricular (AV) valve apparatus, either left or right-sided, consists of annulus (or ring), leaflets, chordate tendineae, papillary muscles and ventricular myocardium they are attached to (Martinez et al. 2006; Sutton et al. 1995; Lamers et al. 1995; Xanthos et al. 2011; Cosío et al. 1999; Muraru et al. 2011a; Badano et al. 2009).
