Basic concepts of digital geometry are introduced, with emphasis on digitized Euclidean geometry of curves and surfaces. Topics covered include connectedness and distance transforms, integer metrics, digiti-zation models, multigrid convergence, digital straight line segments and planar patches, and approximation of curves and surfaces.
