Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) is a contagious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which spreads quickly until Covid-19 becomes the main focus of medical staff. Interprofessional Collaboration (IPC) cooperates with professionals with different backgrounds in solving patients’ health problems, such as the Covid-19 Pandemic, and giving health services to achieve the expected quality. The limited knowledge of medical staff related to IPC will have a potency of causing bad service in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic. This research aimed to determine the correlation between Interprofessional Collaboration (IPC) knowledge of medical health and the service in Covid-19 management at some Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) in Bantul Regency. This research method was non-experimental quantitative using a correlation analytic research design with the cross-sectional approach. The samples were 279 medical staff at several Community Health Centers in Bantul Regency, determined using OpenEpi Software and selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument used to measure IPC knowledge and the service is a questionnaire. The data analysis employed univariate and bivariate analysis using the Mann-Whitney test. The research showed a correlation between medical staff knowledge concerning IPC and their service in Covid-19 management. This result was shown by the Mann-Whitney test with its significance value, p-value = 0,033 (<0,05). This research concluded that there was a correlation between medical staff knowledge concerning IPC and their service in Covid-19 management.
