Abstract

With the cross-border convergence of big data, cloud computing and mobile Internet, the relationship between people has got to be closer, and human life will enter a new era of “Internet +”. The flipped classroom, originated in the United States, can give full play to the students’ subjective initiative, improve the students’ self-learning ability and cooperative spirit, and point out the direction for the reform of modern college English. Based on the author’s learning and teaching experience, this paper first analyzed the influence of “Internet +” on college English teaching, then studied the concept and necessity of flipped classroom, and finally proposed the strategies to apply flipped classroom in college English teaching.
