Designing container trucks arrival schedule using truck turnaround time method at terminal peti kemas selatan PT. pelabuhan tanjung priok

Abstract

As the main port in Indonesia, Tanjung Priok Port is always continuously maintained and developed in order to maintain its function as a regional logistics center to improve industrial competitiveness in international trade and investment climate. Tanjung Priok Port implements a truck losing system in several terminals, one of which is in South Container Terminal. The author conducted a study to reduce the length of waiting time for container transport trucks as a result of the implementation of the truck losing system. The purpose of this study is to reduce the current waiting time, which was done by scheduling the arrival of container trucks using the Truck Turnaround Time method. From the result of the scheduling, implementation decreases the waiting time of the container truck from 99.28 minutes to 48.72 minutes.
