Abstract

The technological developments do not always bring simplicity for parents in educating children. All parents face different from the past. Therefore, looking for new inspiration in parenting must be done continuously. One of the ways is to explore the concepts of parenting in al-Qur’an which can be said “Qur’anic Parenting”. This research raises the figure of Imran’s wife who can be imitated by every mother. From her was born a noble woman named Maryam and Prophet Isa as her grandchildren. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis of Surah Ali Imran verses 35-37 and its’ relevance to current condition. The results are the three stages of parenting consisting of prenatal period, the period of child birth, and the period of child growth.  In the prenatal period, a mother should have noble ideals for her child, expect the child to be unaffected by the negative things and pray to Allah. At the time of giving birth, a mother should have positive thinking toward God, have a strong commitment, give the best name and pray to God. In the third stage, a mother should choose the best teacher and a conducive environment so that her child can grow well.
