Peluang Pembangunan Monorail pada Sempadan Sungai Cikapundung Berdasarkan Karakteristik Sungai

Abstract

Bandung City as one of the metropolitan cities in Indonesia faces many challenges at present and in the future. In response, Bandung City Government set up variety of transport infrastructure development plans; one of which is to build the monorail at the Cikapundung river border. Monorail construction on the river border has never been done in Indonesia. This should be explored more deeply whether it is appropriate to the Bandung city's Cikapundung River characteristics. Based on the analysis conducted on river characteristics, the monorail development opportunities of Cikapundung River border is not feasible to do. This is because two of the three criteria of the river characteristics are not feasible to do. The criteria are the criteria for river body, as well as the criteria for river demarcation. Criteria for river body do not allow to be built, because it does not meet the criteria of safety components monorail construction. In addition, river characteristics border are not possible to do because it does not meet the criteria for monorail construction space needs component and monorail construction safety components. Overall the monorail development opportunities on the River Cikapundung demarcation based on the river characteristics can't be done. This development can be implemented if the proposed recommendations have been done.
