Abstract

We propose a conceptual model for a representative cost structure associated to the internationalisation of operations. The main contribution of this paper for researchers and industry practitioners is the identification of cost issues in order to reduce the number of unexpected costs related with companies that have internationalised their operations. This conceptual model could serve as a starting point for cost challenges and issues that firms will face when they get involved in the internationalisation of operations.
