Abstract

Although less commonly encountered than more traditional (organic) drugs and poisons, metals are an important consideration in forensic toxicology investigations. Environmental, occupational, and industrial exposures are considered for some of the most common metals. The pharmacokinetics, effects, and toxicity associated with metals are discussed, in addition to methods of analysis.
