Abstract

This study aims to know Si ndeso program hosted by Sekolah Alam Pacitan and to know the development of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in Si ndeso program. The researcher used descriptive qualitative research design. The researcher collected the data from the students joined Si ndeso, the teachers, the communities. There were 130 students divided into 10 group. The research was conducted in February 2018 during Si ndeso program. The research was conducted in Wonoanti, Tulakan Pacitan and Sekolah Alam Pacitan. The data were collected by implementing observation and interview. After being collected, the data were analyzed by using Miles and Huberman data analysis step, including data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusion/verification. The result showed that Si ndeso program is conducted into three steps: preparation, main, and evaluation phase. Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) is developed through remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating process during Si ndeso program.
