Abstract

As the communications market continues its explosive growth and rapid rate of change, equipment vendors struggle with the conflicting goals of performance, flexibility, low cost and fast time-to-market. A new class of device, the Reconfigurable Communications Processor (RCP), enables designers to meet all these goals simultaneously for multi-channel, dataprocessing intensive applications.
