Abstract

We propose in this paper a method for enhancing vision through fog, based on Blind Source Separation (BSS). BSS method recovers independentsource signals from a set of their linear mixtures, where the mixingmatrix is unknown. The mixtures are represented in our work by thenatural logarithm of the degraded image at different wavelength. Theseprovide an additive mixture of transmittivity coefficient (related tofog) and reflectivity coefficient (related to each point of the scene).
