Abstract

The mythological archetypes of M. I. Tsvetaeva's poetics are interpreted as the gnostical ones. A gnostical discourse rejects the creaturely sense as a calculable and closed construction. In the Tsvetaeva's works, the senses are dynamical and always unequal to them. This is represented in the mythologem of Psyche, which is considered not in its natural and cosmic aspects but as the tense and dynamic personality. The contradiction between a depletion of finite senses (the world as a technology) and an ontologically ingrained personality (the world as a spiritual organism) is emphasized. This contradiction is inevitable for gnosticism and leads to the escapism. For all a tragic destiny of the poet, this escapism comprises a positive experience of fundamental openness of the semantic domain, which is actualized in a language.
