Dynamic graphics in the exploratory analysis of multivariate data

Abstract

Reported here is a study in which the dynamic depiction of three-dimensional datais compared with traditional static scatterplots, particularly with respect to the ability of observers to extract cluster information from multivariate data sets. © 1990 Psychonomic Society, Inc.
