Abstract

Experiments were made on hand-raised Melospiza melodia with live animals, and stationary and moving models. The authors conclude that owls are recognized largely through an inborn pattern, hawks through their fast movements, and cats and eowbirds (Molothrus ater) after conditioning. || ABSTRACT AUTHORS: M.
