Abstract

The intelligent, SMART environments represent a complex, complicated but vibrant technological social ecosystem generating a wide range of events of different types during their lifecycle, i.e., service delivery. These are the results of the multilateral interactions of the individual configuration items that make up the system. Naturally, the greater the number of elements that environment contains, the greater the number of events “can” arise. For each generated event, it is necessary to respond appropriately, as it is the carrier of the information value that “can” affect the correct functionality. In our contribution, we want to demonstrate how well-designed and optimized business processes allow automation and artificial intelligence to be used to manage events to increase productivity and reduce costs.
