Industry 4.0 Challenges and solutions for the digital transformation and use of exponential technologies Contents About the study This study sets out the key challenges Switzerland's manufacturing companies face in achieving the digital transformation of the industry and benefitting from exponential technologies. It focuses on the Swiss mechanical and electrical engineering, and metalworking industries, and the chemical and construction sectors. Between March and August 2014, more than 50 manufacturing companies operating in Switzerland completed questionnaires and took part in personal interviews.
