Abstract

Color is essential for modern multimedia displays. For the characterization of the color performance of displays, measurement of color coordinates and color gamut is required. This chapter describes measurement of the most relevant CIE color spaces such as CIE 1931 and CIE Luv together with theoretical background, methods, and examples.
