How do children understand notions of right and wrong? How do they reason morally about the world that they find themselves in? Do they understand the world in the same way as adults (albeit in a less developed way), or are there qualitative differences between the thoughts of children and adults? If there are real qualitative differences, what stages do children go through in their moral thinking as they grow towards adulthood?
