Different methods of Mean Transit Time calculation in Dynamic Susceptibility Contrast Magnetic Resonance Imaging are presented. The convolution property related to functions centroids is used to calculate Mean Transit Time (MTT) for a local tissue with the known voxel signal and Arterial Input Function. Application of Gamma Variate model of the concentration signal enables to calculate MTT directly using GV parameters. The method was verified using simulated and clinical data. It produces similar results in comparison to the traditional methods but deconvolution is not required. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
