Abstract

The clinical features of spontaneous diabetes mellitus in 3 monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) are described. It appears that the condition in primates is very similar to the disease in man, and the monkey is a useful model for future studies on abnormal carbohydrate metabolism. © 1974, Royal Society of Medicine Press.
