Abstract

This chapter addresses the management of intimacy in lesbian donor conception, and how ideas about norms and moralities are communicated and established in one couple’s story about trying to conceive. I explore the process of retrieving a sperm donation and how an account of that process is conveyed, what is at stake in telling a story in a particular way, and the social and political dimensions embedded in doing so.
