Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases are increasing to the size which accounts them a big cause of mortality second only to cancer. Lifestyle modifications have proved their worth in reverting many related ailments. CAM approaches are also being repeatedly claimed for their role in various cardiovascular conditions. This chapter reviews the understanding of cardiac diseases (hrida roga) in an Ayurvedic perspective and also reviews the available evidences in support of any claim of Ayurveda to deal such conditions.
