The talk will introduce the concept of e-Science and briefly describe some of the main features of the £ 250M 5 year UK e-Science Programme. This review will include examples of e-Science applications not only for science and engineering but also for e-Health and the e-Enterprise. The importance of data curation will be emphasized and the move towards ‘Web Services Grids’ - Grid middleware based on open standard Web Services.
