Abstract

Anthophiloptera dryas gen. et sp. n. is described from eastern Australia. Its feeding habits and those of its relatives are unique to the Tettigoniidae. They are obligate pollen‐ and nectar‐feeders utilising a wide variety of flowers from grasses to eucalypts. The 2 related subfamilies Phasmodinae and Zaprochilinae are reinstated as separate subfamilies. Copyright © 1983, Wiley Blackwell. All rights reserved
