EU in twenty-first century, does crisis mean opportunity?

Abstract

This book analyzes the long-term problems of the European Union from a multidisciplinary approach. The European Union is facing numerous challenges in the twenty-first century. Some of them can be an opportunity to advance in the integration process; others can be even a threat to the existence of the organization. Nevertheless, all of them are a fascinating combination basic to understand the current state of the European integration process, howthe European Unionwas created, what it is now, and what could be its future shape when these problems are addressed in the coming future.
