Abstract

Chewing lice (Phthiraptera) from wild birds in the São Paulo Zoo, State of São Paulo, SP, Brazil. Twenty-eight species of chewing lice were recovered from wild birds in the São Paulo Zoo during 2003. Twenty-three were identified to species level and five to the generic level. New species records for Brazil and new host-lice associations are discussed.
