Abstract

Acute encephalitis is the clinical diagnosis in children with acute onset of fever, headache, vomiting, change in sensorium and seizures as a result inflammation of the brain parenchyma and cerebral dysfunction. The cause may be any infection - viral, protozoal, bacterial. We hereby report a case of encephalitis with dual etiology being herpes simplex virus and scrub typhus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
