Abstract

Radiation Protection in medicine is underpinned by the concepts of Justification and Optimization. Both IAEA and EC initiatives now emphasise the need to address the area of Justification urgently. Ethical performance of examinations also requires that they be undertaken on equipment suited for that purpose. © 2011 Springer Science+Business Media B.V.
