Abstract

As a generalization of fuzzy sets, the concept of interval-valued fuzzy sets was introduced by Gorzalczany [Fuzzy Sets and Systems 21 (1987) 1]. In this paper, we shall extend the concept of "fuzzy inclusion", introduced by Sostak [Supp. Rend. Circ. Mat. Palermo (Ser. II) 11 (1985) 89], to the interval-valued fuzzy setting and study its fundamental properties for some extent. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.
