Abstract

This paper proposes the design of a management platform that contributes to the responsible consumption of electricity in a home environment through a HAN (Home Area Network) network. The platform is composed of two subsystems, the first one, an electronic module in charge for sampling and sending data, Internet connection, and other functionalities that are detailed in the document; and the second, the management software that manipulates initial parameters of measurement, storage and visualization of the information sent by the first subsystem, allowing an interaction through a web page. For the validation of the platform a record of the electrical consumption of some common devices present in a household is taken, whose purpose is to detect an irregular consumption of any equipment associated with the electronic device, handling alerts in case of a power consumption greater than the normal.
