Abstract

Students as agents of change need to be equipped with waste management skills to be applied and distributed to the community. This service activity is carried out to provide students and the community knowledge about how to process organic waste into eco-enzymes through simple bio-fermentation. The methods used are lectures, discussions, and daring demonstrations. The activity participants were students and the community from the Palembang, OKI, Lahat, and Banyuasin areas of South Sumatra Province. The data was collected in the form of data on participant satisfaction with the extension activities provided. Then, the data were analyzed descriptively. The result of this activity is that students become more familiar with eco-enzymes and their manufacturing procedures. Of the total 45 participants who attended, only 25 people filled out the questionnaire. Overall, the participants were satisfied with the PKM activities and gained knowledge about making eco-enzymes. So that from this activity, students and the community know one way to process household organic waste, which is always produced every day, into useful products.
